Stun Guns are devices which produce a high voltage, low amperage electrical charge which disrupts the bodys central nervous system causing an attackers muscles to tighten or spasm uncontrollably. Though todays stun gun voltages typically range between 100,000 volts to 1 million volt stun guns, the low amperage (usually between 1 - 5 milliamps) is too low to cause any lasting effects.
